At Lal Rai Fine Art, we aim to provide high-quality custom artwork and a positive experience for every customer. Because each portrait or piece is created specifically for you, our refund, return, and cancellation policies reflect the personalised nature of our services while respecting your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
1. Artwork (Prints & Originals)
1.1 General Return & Exchange
- Returns or exchanges are not available for prints or original artworks due to change of mind.
- All artwork is handled with care during printing and packaging.
If artwork is damaged during delivery:
- Photograph the packaging before opening
- Photograph the damaged artwork inside
- Email images to info@lalraifineart.com.au
Replacements:
- Prints: Replaced with an identical print
- Originals: Replacement commission offered
2. Custom Artwork Orders
2.1 Artwork Production Process
- Orders are created based on the photos, descriptions, and instructions you provide.
- Where applicable, a preview may be provided so you can:
- Review the artwork
- Request minor adjustments
- Confirm it meets your expectations
- Once approved or finalised, the artwork will be delivered.
2.2 When Refunds or Corrections May Apply
- Processing Errors:
If the artwork differs from agreed instructions or specifications, we will attempt to correct it at no additional cost. If correction is not possible, a partial or full refund may be issued. - Technical or Service Failures:
If we cannot complete your order due to technical issues on our side, a full refund will be issued. - Unsuitable Reference Photos:
If submitted photos are unusable (e.g., low resolution or unclear subjects), we may:- Request better photos before starting
- Cancel the order and issue a refund if suitable photos cannot be provided
2.3 Situations Where Refunds Are Not Available
- Change of mind after placing an order
- Change of mind after artwork creation has begun
- Dissatisfaction with artistic style when it matches portfolio examples
Customers are strongly encouraged to review previews carefully before approval.
2.4 Order Cancellations
- Before Production Begins: Full refund may be possible if requested before work starts
- After Production Begins: Cancellation may not be possible; partial refunds may be considered depending on work completed
3. Other Products
- Returns are accepted only if items are:
- Unused
- In original packaging and condition
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
- Exchanges are not available
- Sale items and gift cards cannot be returned
4. Damages and Issues
- Inspect all orders upon arrival
- Contact us immediately if items are defective, damaged, or incorrect
- Provide:
- Order number
- Description of the issue
- Photos (if applicable)
5. Partial Refunds
- Applicable for:
- Minor defects
- Small differences from description
- Minor transit damage
- Refund amounts will be agreed based on the issue and item value
- Issued to the original payment method within 7–14 business days

- Refunds are issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed
