Shipping & Returns Policy
At Lal Rai Fine Art, we take great care to package and deliver artworks safely. This policy explains how orders are processed, shipped, delivered, and managed in case of damage or faults. It operates alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. Order Processing
- Orders are generally processed within 2–7 business days after payment is received.
- Orders are not processed on weekends or public holidays.
- For framed, custom, or commissioned artworks, additional preparation time may apply. Estimated dispatch times will be communicated prior to order confirmation.
2. Shipping Locations & Methods
Australia & New Zealand
- Most artworks are dispatched within 5–10 business days.
- Framed artworks may take an additional two weeks.
- Limited edition prints: allow 2–4 weeks for delivery.
- Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the delivery location and artwork size.
International Shipping
- All artworks and prints are shipped unframed and rolled in a protective tube.
- Additional shipping costs may apply depending on the destination (you will be notified via email).
- International shipping costs do not include customs duties, taxes, or other fees — these are the buyer’s responsibility.
- Lal Rai Fine Art is required to declare the full value of all items in accordance with Australian export regulations. Please contact your local customs office for fee estimates.
Shipping Carriers
- Orders are shipped using trusted services such as Australia Post and other reputable courier partners.
- Tracking numbers are provided via email where available.
3. Estimated Delivery Times
- Australia: 5–10 business days
- International: 7–21 business days
Please note: Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by customs processing, postal delays, weather conditions, or other factors beyond our control.
4. Returns & Exchanges
- Returns or exchanges are not accepted for change of mind due to the delicate nature of artworks.
- Prints are made to order and cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged for change of mind.
- Artworks may naturally age over time; slight colour variations are normal and not considered faults.

5. Damaged or Faulty Items
If your item arrives damaged, shipping insurance covers transit-related issues. Please follow these steps:
- Take clear photos of:
- The external packaging
- The shipping label
- The damage to the artwork, frame, or print
- Email the photos to info@lalraifineart.com.au within 7 days of receiving your order.
Lal Rai Fine Art will assess the issue and work with the shipping provider to determine an appropriate resolution, which may include repair, replacement, or refund, in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
6. Incorrect Shipping Information
- Customers must provide accurate and complete shipping details.
- Orders returned due to incorrect addresses may incur additional shipping charges.
